Watch Kendrick Lamar's Powerful Performance Of New Song, ‘Untitled 2’

K. Dot debuted the new track on 'The Tonight Show.'

Kendrick Lamar performed a new song named "Untitled 2" on Thursday, during his performance on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon."

The performance, which has been called "powerful," "incredible" and "transcendent," weaves through a variety of topics from women to education to sadness to recent career wins. And it also goes through various moods and sounds, from a mellow-but-funky opening to a more intense finale.

"You ain't gotta tell me that I'm the one," he raps repeatedly before hitting the landing. "Yes, I'm the one."

Kendrick's interview on the show centered around his 11 Grammy nominations and how close he was to equalling or surpassing Michael Jackson's all-time record of 12 noms.

"I can't fathom being as great as Michael without putting out the work," he said. "So 11 is perfect."

Kendrick's surprise performance of a new track is an indication of the work he's "always" doing. Top Dawg Entertainment President Dave Free recently told MTV News that's just how K. Dot operates.

“Kendrick’s always working," he explained. "He’s never not working. He’s always thinking of the next idea, writing down ideas or mumbling sh-t to himself…It’s too early to say right now, but just know that Kendrick is always working."
