As we've covered ad nauseum, that "Game of Thrones" Season 5 ending left us all hanging/gasping/shrieking/biting nails for many, many reasons.
Most prominently, there's the obvious did-they-or-did-they-not-just thing with Jon Snow (Kit Harington) which left us scouring the web to allay our nervousness about this plot point, eventually putting enough pieces together to know that we can (probably maybe) breathe easy about that one.
Oh, but then there's also the matter of Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clark) being encircled by a massive hoard of Dothraki who may or may not want to kill her dead. Not to mention, the last few surviving Starks were left with their hands full of trouble, and so on and so on.
So, needless to say, we're absolutely amped about any and every ounce of news involving the return of this show -- especially now that there's exactly zero chance we can speed-read through "The Winds of Winter" and get a spoilerific preview of what's to come.
The latest? HBO has now announced the premiere date for the new season, and now we can't wait for the end of winter to come because April 24th, 2016 is officially all booked up for our official return to Westeros.
Ready the horses. men and women, because in April we ride.
