'Daredevil' Just Unleashed A Masterpiece Of A Season 2 Trailer

Take me to church, Daredevil.

It's official: "Daredevil" will return for its second season on March 18, 2016. And after watching the brand spanking new trailer, all we can say is, holy s---.

On, like, multiple levels.

The trailer opens on a high note, literally, with an old-school Gregorian chant -- and an image that'll ring all your Art History 101 bells, of two fresco-painted fingers reaching across space to meet in the middle.

Only, surprise: That's not Michelangelo's "Creation of Adam," and this isn't the Sistine Chapel. It's the Church of the Devil of Hell's kitchen, with a painted ceiling that depicts all the biggest moments from the inaugural season of "Daredevil."

Everybody is here, from Matthew Murdock to Foggy Nelson to Claire Temple to Wilson Fisk. And as we conclude the trip down memory lane, Matt's favorite Catholic priest dutifully reminds us in voiceover that "your work is not yet finished."

The only bad news: there's nary a moment of actual Season 2 action here, and not a single glimpse of Elektra or Punisher. But this whole thing is still kind of a masterpiece -- complete with its own version of Michelangelo's "The Last Judgment" on the altar wall... which you don't get much of a look at it before the church windows blow out in a hail of bullets and shattered glass, but don't worry: There's a big-ass poster for that.
