Footage From One Direction’s Long-Lost ‘Infinity’ Music Video Leaks

IT EXISTS!

How many nights would it take to count the stars? That’s the time it would take to fix my heart after seeing the newly-surfaced footage from One Direction’s “Infinity” music video.

What’s that, you say? “Infinity” isn’t even a single? Well, yes, that’s true. As Directioners may recall, the band originally announced the soaring ballad as the third single from Made In The A.M., before backtracking and replacing it with fan-favorite jam “History.”

Before switching gears with that (admittedly on-point) decision, though, the guys had already filmed a video for “Infinity.” In new footage leaked Wednesday (Jan. 6), we see Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Liam Payne and Louis Tomlinson in front of a massive backdrop featuring 1D fan art (awww!), lip-syncing their hearts out while “Infinity” plays in the background.

More pics, supposedly shot by lurking paparazzi, continue to paint the scene.

And one eagle-eyed fan noticed part of the scenery was used in the guys' final performance before their hiatus, on "The X Factor" last month.

Soooooo, now that we’ve all seen what the vid was supposed to look like, does that mean 1D’s camp will decide to release the finished version? And is a “History” video on the way as well? That’d surely be the kind thing to do, but I’m actually hoping the band waits a bit longer to release any new vids. After all, fans have an entire year of 1D absence to endure, and a new music video or two might make for a good mid-year treat to pick our spirits up and remind us of what we already know: We’re the greatest team that the world has ever seen.
