7 Memorable Moments From The 2016 People's Choice Awards

Let's talk about Jane. And that strange stage-crasher.

We'll all remember where we were when Kanye West interrupted Taylor Swift's acceptance speech at the 2009 VMAs. But seven years from now, will we recall the 2016 People's Choice Awards on Wednesday (Jan. 6) when a red (p)leather-jacketed dude attempted to try his hand at "pulling a Kanye" with the hosts of daytime TV show "The Talk"? I don't know, man. But it happened.

Between Johnny Depp besting Channing Tatum in the Favorite Dramatic Movie Actor category and Ellen DeGeneres giving a truly wonderful speech about the power of making other people laugh, some weird stuff went down. But also, some cool stuff went down -- like, really cool stuff. And then more weird stuff, and then -- ah, just see for yourself.

Here are the most memorable moments from the 42nd People's Choice Awards. Catch the full winners list here.

  1. Tyler Posey Shows Off His #Cool Uterus

This one technically took place before the show began out on the red carpet, but come on -- it's "Teen Wolf"'s Tyler Posey with a #cool uterus on his face, man! The only thing even remotely as cool as that? Frankie Grande holding a "YAAAS KWEEN" conversation bubble on a stick, of course.

  2. Jane Lynch Invents Her Own "Whip/Nae Nae"

Oh, Jane. She opened the show with a witty "Shut Up And Dance" parody called "Stand Up And Choose," which featured her coining a new shorthand for our favorite male stripper, "Channing Tates." But her #LynchJaneJane dance moves, a parody of Silento's Whip/Nae Nae, became a very real hashtag -- though some people (understandably) questioned its usage.

  3. Chris Hemsworth Is Really A Great Sport About This Whole "Objectification" Thing

Yes, the middle Hemsworth brother is indeed a hunk. He's also a babe and a stud and everyone's Internet boyfriend. But at the PCAs, he's the target of everyone's unquenchable thirst -- dealing with jokes about his "Thor" man-bun and being pictured naked by the Julianne Hough, Carly Rae Jepsen and the other Pink Ladies of "Grease: Live," not to mentioned being shown shirtless by perpetual scamp Ellen DeGeneres when she received the Favorite Daytime TV Host award. Stay strong, Hemmy. You're an Avenger, after all.

  4. Call The Cops Because Jason Derulo Murders The Dance Floor

Emilee said it best: If Jason Derulo were cheese, he'd be the top-shelf, "high-end imported brie." For proof of this, look no further than him switching gears between "Get Ugly," a light banger, and "Want To Want Me," one of the best Michael Jackson soundalike jams of the past year, with ridiculous ease. While busting some pseudo-MJ twirl moves. While wearing a dope ass jacket. The guy entertains by simply showing up, which is something very few performers can actually pull off.

  5. Shawn Mendes And Camila Cabello Know What Each Other Did Last Summer

Shawn, who swiftly collected the Favorite Breakout Artist award early in the night, and Camila paired up for a ADJECTIVE performance of their stormy ballad "I Know What You Did Last Summer." The rain was heavy, the tones were sultry and the implications were thick -- are these two really a thing or what? For real. And the transition from "Stitches," which Shawn played first, was gracefully assisted by a thunderbolt crack and some legit lightning effects.

  6. Some Dude Tries, Fails To Pull A Kanye West And Jack The Mic

As the ladies from "The Talk" accepted their Favorite Daytime TV Hosting Team award, a young dude in a red leather jacket swooped in and attempted to legitimately pull a Kanye on the microphone, quoting "FACTS" -- "Yeezy jumped over the Jumpman" -- and apparently promoting Kevin Gates' Islah album. Sharon Osborne literally kicked him away from the mic and Sheryl Underwood said, "You ain't gonna pull no Steve Harvey up in here." Obviously, Twitter had a lot of fun with it. But seriously, who was that guy?

  7. Vin Diesel Sings "See You Again" For Paul Walker

As he accepted the two statues "Furious 7" racked up for Favorite Movie and Favorite Action Movie, Vin thanked the fans, and as he did that, he thought of his friend Paul Walker. "My only message to you is: You'd be amazed with what you can do with love," he said, pausing to let his words resonate. "You'd be amazed how powerful of a force that is. When we didn't want to come back to filming when the tragedy was too heavy, it was the love of everyone combined that saw us through to the end." And then, HE SANG! He sang Wiz Khalifa and Charlie Puth's "See You Again" until the producers literally cut him off to go onto the next segment. It got a little misty.
