The Force Is Real, And These Lightsaber Twirlers Have Mastered It

A would-be Jedi meets a would-be Sith in this hypnotizing video.

One of the coolest things about "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" is -- SPOILER ALERT, but c'mon, go see it already -- that there are two lightsaber duels and they literally happen one after the next. After two hours of wondering whether or not Kylo Ren is actually going to use his neat cross-blade lightsaber for anything other than throwing a temper tantrum (you'll see), he does -- twice! In a row! And it's very satisfying.

One thing we can certainly look forward to in the upcoming new movies is more lightsaber battles, but the bad news is we have to wait a full two years before we get to see anything like that -- at least on the big screen. But on YouTube, two guys named David Barron and Daniel Musashi have given us a nice treat in the meantime: a lightsaber-centric display from a would-be Jedi and a would-be Sith, true to the mystic moves that would be used in a real "Star Wars" duel.

The video, filmed by Kuma Films, is more of a graceful ballet than a sword fight, which gives it a truly otherworldly quality consistent with those who'd use The Force.

Just look at that poise...

While we wait for writer-director Rian Johnson's follow-up to "The Force Awakens" in 2017, we could take some time to learn how to brandish our own lightsabers like these guys do.

And of course, may The Force be with us all.
