Did you miss SKATERS' Halloween-themed Artist To Watch Live event on Monday (October 21)? Lucky for you, we have a whole slew of on-demand footage ready and waiting for your viewing pleasure.
SKATERS — none of whom can skate — all moved to New York from disparate bands to form what frontman Michael Ian Cummings calls “an art project” of a band, an act that merges punk, rock, grunge and reggae to wholly danceable effect.
Just a few months after hitting NYC, the band was born — comprising Cummings, guitarist Josh Hubbard, bassist Dan Burke and drummer Noah Rubin — and with it the stellar EP Schemers, which nabbed the attention of Warner Bros.
Now on the label, the guys are currently finishing up their debut LP, MANHATTAN— which drops on February — and are hitting the road with Palma Violets.
Make sure to hit up one of these tour dates and, in the meantime, check out some highlights from their performance at the Studio At Webster Hall -- where they busted out songs from their EP and LP -- hereabouts.
