Brass Fergie Spins UK/NY Bass On His 'Propellered High' Mix For MTV Hive

Brass Fergie, the side project spawned from L.A. native DJ Dan Oh, is coming out strong, and to celebrate the blowing-up-ness of his career, Oh created a special mix for MTV Hive.

Oh spent six years as resident DJ at Cinespace Dim Mak Tuesdays in Hollywood alongside Dim Mak founder Steve Aoki  and Jason Stewart (Them Jeans). As Brass Fergie, the now-Brooklyn resident recently toured North America with UK dub-step R&B artist Katy B and performed at the premiere electronic music festival, Ultra Music.

Oh was kind enough to put together what he describes as a “mix of bass-driven electronic music influenced by UK sounds and the current NY underground scene” for the latest Mix of the Week for MTV Hive.

Oh said that he “chose tracks that represent my style of DJing and producing -- a lil bit of UK Bass, French Club, House, NY warehouse shit... I tried to emulate my DJing style here by creating long cohesive mixes between each song, which ultimately helps create a new look on each track.”
