Angel Haze Leaks Another Song That's Not a Single -- Or Even on Her Album

Earlier this month, up-and-coming rapper and spirited Twitter beefer Angel Haze released the amusing music video for "No Bueno," which she says would not be the first single off her debut album Dirty Gold, but simply the first thing anyone hears from it (even though that's basically the same thing). Now, she has shared a second track, called "Initiation," via Twitter, which she says is an album outtake.

While "No Bueno" focused on Haze's bravado as an MC and all the bitches who owe her, "Initiation" is more personal, detailing an intense emotional relationship over a track of ominous synths and slicing electronic drums that might be at home in a particularly disconcerting scene in The Matrix. The minimal beat foregrounds Haze's trademark lyrical density, giving her vocals a sense of urgency and claustrophobia. This is no regular sexual come-on; Haze doesn't plan to merely make love to her intended, but to "take you to my place and fuck you with my mind 'til you got no perception of space and no perception of time." Existential! Immediately after, she lightens things up with a clever Green Day reference. This girl contains multitudes.

Far be it from us to speculate, but if this little gem got trimmed from Dirty Gold, we can only imagine what made the cut.

Dirty Gold will come out later this year via Universal Republic.
