This Wednesday, the fourth O Music Awards gets underway at 7pm and to kickoff the festivities, eccentric rocker/proud Brony Andrew W.K. will be attempting the world record for drumming for 24-consecutive hours. This amazing feat of rhythmic endurance will take place at an Oakley store in New York City and throughout the night and day, a host of special guests will drop by to bang around and show their love and support.

Joining Andrew at the beginning is none-other than the Roots' drummer himself, Questlove. We can only imagine will be a once-in-a-lifetime pairing (or drum-off).

This record attempt -- which the O Music Awards are lovingly calling the "Longest Drum Session in a Retail Store" -- follows last year's world record attempt by the Flaming Lips for the most concerts performed in a 24-hour period (they got it) and Chiddy Bang's longest ever freestyle rap in 2011.

This year's O Music Awards will celebrate "Live Music Day" and will feature a slew of live performances that you can stream starting Wednesday night at 7pm and throughout Thursday, July 20. Scheduled performers include Hive favorites the So So Glos, Kate Nash, Lord Huron, Langhorne Slim, Kopecky Family Band and Atlas Genius. New additions to the lineup include Travi$ Scott, Grouplove and the Stepkids.

And of course, there will be many awards given out during the 24 hours. Head over to the O Music Awards site to vote for your favorite musicians.
