Ernest Greene's Washed Out project recently announced the details of his sophomore set Paracosm and today has shared the first single from the 9-song set. It's called "It All Feels Right" and we can safely say, listening to this, it really does feel right. Greene's changed up his sound a bit since we last heard him on 2011's excellent Within and Without. Instead of honing in on '80s synth-vibes, "It All Feels Right" has a much more sunny disposition -- he even sings "It's getting warmer outside, it all feels right." Damn straight. Based solely on this new song, it's safe to say that Paracosm is destined to be the orchestral-stoner album of summer 2013.
According to the announcement, the album is said to explore the title's namesake, where people create imaginary worlds like in Tolkien's Middle Earth or Game of Thrones' Westeros. All the more reason to support are argument that Paracosm is going to be your orchestral-stoner album of summer 2013. Sit back, throw it on, inhale, and let your brain go to far-away, made up lands.
Washed Out has a handful of live dates on the books, with a mix of festivals and club shows slated in August and September.
Paracosm is due out August 12 on Sub Pop.
