Kastle's Five Drinks to Go With His Self-Titled Debut Album

In April, San Francisco-based producer Kastle released his self-titled debut album, a swirling amalgamation of bass-centric beats fused with hip-hop, R&B and garage. The dubby substance plays well whether sipping scotch in the club or making cocktails at home. To enhance the flavor of the album, we asked Kastle to unleash his inner mixologist and pair five drinks with five tracks from his soulful debut.

1. Stay Close ft. Austin Paul

First selection of the album goes hand in hand with my usual first go-to drink selection -- a Manhattan. Bulleit rye, sweet vermouth, plum bitters, maraschino cherry.

2. Make You Stay ft. JMSN

So I'm going to give up a personal recipe of mine which I guess we'll call the "The Kastle" - Hendricks gin, sweet lime juice, grapefruit juice, muddled organic basil, black pepper and chalula sauce (spice to taste). Shake on ice, strain into cocktail glass and garnish with a basil leaf. Enjoy.

3. Things We Can Do ft. Reva DeVito

I think this tune screams summer vibes, so a raspberry mojito is in order.

4. Been Awhile

This track just screams absinthe to me for some reason. Try a 'Death At Dusk' - 1/2 ounce creme de violette, 5 ounces sparkling wine, 1/4 ounce absinthe and one maraschino cherry for garnish.

5. Must Be Crazy ft. Atlas

Sometimes you just need a scotch. My favorite is Laphroaig 10 year. Two fingers and a couple ice cubes to release the flavor.

Kastle kicks off his part one of his North American tour in Miami tonight. (See full tour dates.) Stream Kastle on Spotify below or purchase it on iTunes here.
