Listen to Kanye West and Pusha T's New Track "Numbers on the Boards"

Kanye West in South Africa

Rap's royal set are snaffling up all the headlines this week, with yesterday's release of Jay-Z's "Open Letter" being followed today by a new track from Kanye West's G.O.O.D. Music prince Pusha T. Titled "Numbers on the Boards," the menacing stripped-down production (courtesy of 'Ye and Don Cannon) nods back to Clipse's minimalist break-through anthem "Grindin'." For this part, Pusha Ton relays high-status lifestyle advice like pointing out how's there's a good chance "your plane's missing a chef" and sagely advising new car buyers to "keep the sticker in the window case you wonder what it cost."

"Numbers on the Boards" was prefaced with Kanye tweeting how "Our family Hov brought that real hip-hop shit this morning so me and Pusha wanna keep that feeling going,” and to usher in that friendly spirit, there's a clumsy vocal snippet from Jay's "A Million and One Questions/Rhyme No More" that sparks Pusha's second verse. "Numbers on the Boards" might not have the White House calling, but it's this week's superior rap release.

Pusha's solo studio debut My Name Is My Name will be released later this summer. Read our recent interview with Pusha T here and stream "Numbers on the Boards" below:
