Dark Horses Get Remixed by Rules on "Alone"

Dark Horses are a rising gloom-soul band from the UK who think that modern rock and roll is dead. They turn that notion into a hodge-podge of a sound that's indebted to Kraftwerk and Radiohead as well as classic '80s synth standouts Siouxsie and the Banshees. Here D.C. area producer Rules takes "Alone" and flips it into something even more dark and sinister sounding. "[Rules] has moved it into another realm, rounded the corners, given it an alternative hue," says Dark Horses' vocalist Lisa Elle. "Its shape has morphed. but the same heart still beats within."
