The Hangout Music Fest is set to takeover the Gulf Shores of Alabama on May 17 - 19 and we must say, the lineup is stellar. Jim James, the Shins, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Bloc Party, Dirty Projectors, the Breeders, Kings of Leon, Passion Pit, and the Black Crowes are anchoring down the rock side of the weekend while Kendrick Lamar, the Roots, and Public Enemy will bring a nice mix of old and new hip-hop. And a festival these days wouldn't be complete without a healthy dose of electronic music to choose from: Bassnectar, Steve Aoki, Porter Robinson and Ellie Gouldling will give dance fans something to dance about.
A variety of ticketing options are available and will go on sale this Friday, February 15 at the MTV's Hangout Music Fest hub. They're expected to go fast, as the festival's capacity is capped at just 35,000.
