Tiger High - "Be the Indian" Video Premiere

Americana might be having a moment, but the heady garage rock of the '60s suits Tennessee's Tiger High just fine. In their latest cut "Be the Indian" the Memphis band hits a soundstage to jam out amid several projector screens, letting the harsh fluorescent lights and TV snow drift over their bodies. It's a trippy happening, but it remains visceral, even if they're paying homage to all the Velvet Underground's parties. And this '60s iteration feels more current and taut, though "Be the Indian" keeps its guitar lines just a little blurry and buzzy. Drummer Greg Roberson reportedly worked with Arthur Lee on forming a new Love lineup until Lee passed away in 2006, but Lee is here in spirit.

Tiger High’s Catacombs After Party is out now on Trashy Creatures.
