Kendrick Lamar Teams With J.Cole for "The Jig Is Up (Dump'n)"

Last week, Kendrick Lamar's latest album good kid, m.A.A.d. city enthralled the world. But don't assume the hot Los Angeles rapper is just sitting around, basking in critical glow. Yesterday, Lamar dropped a new freebie track called "The Jig Is Up (Dump'n)." Produced by J. Cole and New York City-based beatsmith Canei Finch, the eerie song finds a fiery Kendrick ranting at those who suggested his album might flop, specifically shooting back at Shyne's Twitter taunts that his music is "trash": "I pray to God this beat is good enough for Shyne/ If not, J. Cole, your shit is trash!/ But at least my opinion just made everyone laugh.” It's unclear if the song will appear on Kendrick and Cole's rumored Out the Sky project, but for now you can stream "The Jig Is Up (Dump'n)" below.
