Take a break from doing the "Liquorice" for a minute because the scorching hot new Azealia Banks mixtape has arrived! After experiencing some upload problems yesterday, you can now grab Fantasea via Banks's own link here.
Clocking in at 19 tracks, the project includes the previously released summer-time smash "Jumanji," a spacey collaboration with London grimestress Shystie titled "Neptune," and a slightly random opener, "Out of Space," that has Banks paying tribute to the Prodigy rave song of the same name. Then, just so you know Ms. Banks can still get scrappy with the best of 'em, there's a rough-n-tumble team-up with New York City spitter Styles P, "Nathan," which is dedicated to "y'all n****s that stay talking that shit."
Talking about Fantasea through her Twitter account, Banks has said that the mixtape is "a test run" and that she "tried a lot of cool things" on the project. One of those appears to be the cover art, which is meant to be inspired by MTV's Daria -- although we like to think cutie-pie Banks has mixed in a touch of The Little Mermaid and My Little Pony too.
What's most exciting for Azealia lovers is that Fantasea is her biggest offering to date and will certainly serve to further interest in that long-awaited debut LP that's supposed to come out this fall.
