As we saw earlier this year with her video for Jessie Baylin’s “Hurry Hurry,” Scarlett Johansson loves to moonlight in the music industry. And she likes to revisit the classics: A few years ago she released Anywhere I Lay My Head, her album of all Tom Waits covers. Now she’s teamed up with Massive Attack’s 3D for a cover of the George Gershwin song “Summertime,” recorded for the forthcoming film Days of Grace. As one might expect, it’s a woozy, ethereal version, with Johansson’s voice lingering in the distance. Incidentally, ’the distance’ is probably where her voice belongs. Listen below. [Via Pitchfork]
