“It’s basically a party wherever we go,” Escort guitarist and co-founder Dan Balis told us last month. But with a 17-piece ensemble, that party train doesn’t get rolling too often, as you can imagine. But this past Saturday, December 17, fans gathered at Brooklyn’s Music Hall of Williamsburg, where they were treated to a strong set of big band disco-funk from the group’s debut album, as Hive photographer Rebecca Smeyne captures. As you can see, lead singer Adeline Michele clearly meets the requirement for anyone fronting a massive disco explosion: a perfected strut.
