On November 3, as she wound down her first proper U.S. tour for Strange Mercy, St. Vincent performed for a sold-out crowd at New York City's famed Webster Hall as part in Hive's Live in NYC series. Fans at home got to watch along as she played with the tempos and arrangements of songs like "Cheerleader," "Actor" and Mercy's lead single, "Surgeon." St. Vincent knows her way around the studio -- she's consistently experimented with guitar-rock structures, orchestral arrangements and now electronic flourishes. Watch her performances here, and it's easy to see why she's also become one of indie rock's must-see live acts -- with or without her stage-diving. But the stage-diving is a definite plus, as you can witness in "Your Lips Are Red," below.
