How many "Star Wars" puns can fit into a single 40-second weather report? In Yoda speak: "A lot, the answer is."
British meteorologist Sian Welby delivered her daily
forcecast forecast on Wednesday (Dec. 16), and she didn't even need a lightsaber to pierce all the nerd hearts with this bit of wit in celebration of "Star Wars: The Force Awakens."
Let's see if you've got the Force to spot 'em all.
Our tally of her double entendres are in italics below:
Hi there, while it's another unusually mild day today with a Leia of cloud covering the UK, but if you Luke farther west, you will be seeing a glimmer of sunshine if you're Wookie. However, there will be a fairly light breeze. The force is strong, though, for northern Scotland, and then tonight the weather strikes back, and as a deep area of low pressure pushes in from the west, creating storm-like conditions for western Ireland and Scotland.
Don't be a trooper; please take care on the roads [there] could be difficult driving conditions. Now if you're forced to awaken early tomorrow morning, we'll be on the dark side, but as you can see, fairly mild with temperatures in double digits. Far, far away towards the south of England, there's a new hope for some sunshine developing in the afternoon.

In the meantime, if one punny weather report just isn't enough for you, Sian also recently did a "Back to the Future"-themed report in October. Someone give this woman a medal.
