The set of Paul Feig's upcoming "Ghostbusters" movie was full of so many paparazzi and picture-takers hoping to get a glimpse of the brand new all-female spook-huntin' professionals that the director famously took to Twitter to complain about ruining the surprise -- and to offer his own pics as a way of getting ahead of the hype. But while all of those images were awesome, none of them made us want to quit our jobs and join the new team... until now.
Now we've got an officially official teaser image of the four new Ghostbusters, released by Sony via the Facebook page for the "Ghostbusters" fan site Proton Charging, and wow do we love it so much that we kind of want to live in it forever.
It might not be the very first picture of Yates (Melissa McCarthy), Gilbert (Kristen Wiig), Holtzmann (Kate McKinnon) and Tolan (Leslie Jones) in costume that we've seen before, but it's definitely the most "Ghostbuster"-est image of them we've seen. The proton packs! The confident postures! The spooky green smoke-filled hotel ballroom! It's everything we could have wanted and more. Just try to tell me that these aren't "real" Ghostbusters, people on the Internet who can't adapt to change. Just try.
Let's keep fingers (and our streams) crossed that this means some kind of trailer is imminent.
"Ghostbusters" hits theaters July 15, 2016.
