We all know Taylor Swift can throw a hell of a party — she proved that with Camila Cabello’s girly get-together last spring and her own star-studded birthday jamboree last year. But on Sunday (Dec. 13), the day of her 26th birthday, she let someone else take the reigns for a winter wonderland bash that was every bit as magical.
Fresh off the grand finale of her 1989 World Tour in Australia, Taylor jetted to Los Angeles to attend a Christmas party hosted by Apple exec Jimmy Iovine. According to Jimmy’s son Jamie, it was the family’s annual holiday party, which happened to fall on the same day as both Taylor and Jessica Iovine’s birthday.
In a behind-the-scenes peek posted to Instagram, it appears the backyard of the Iovine Malibu mansion was transformed into a winter wonderland. This party had it all: faux snow, an icy hill for sledding, snowmen and real penguins (add them to Tay’s list of critter BFFs).
Jamie also shared a selfie with Taylor and her boyfriend Calvin Harris, making himself the envy of Tayvin fans everywhere by writing, "I was just adopted by @calvinharris and @taylorswift mom and dad are gonna show me the good life now.”
Taylor and Calvin also posed for a photo op with Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus (and DJ Snake), because ’tis the season.
Ever the selfless superstar, Taylor returned all the birthday love thrown her way by announcing on Sunday that she’s releasing a 1989 Tour film. The concert flick will be released through Apple Music on Dec. 20 — let the countdown begin!
