"Jessica Jones" might have been all about our titular Wild Turkey-guzzling hero and her mission to stop New York's creepiest mind controller, but it also introduced us to one of the best, most iconic heroes in Marvel Comics: Luke Cage (Mike Colter), AKA Power Man. With his unbreakable skin and his unmatchable charm, he's sure to make a big splash when his solo-led television series finally comes to Netflix
On Wednesday night (December 2) -- although the metadata in the pictures suggests that they were actually taken on the 20th of November -- we got an amazing up-close look at what the next series in Marvel's dark, gritty superhero world will look like. And -- surprise! -- he's already teaming up with both Misty Knight (Simone Missick) and Claire Temple (Rosario Dawson), who's making her third Marvel appearance in this show. Check it out:
Judging from the fact that Sonia Braga was just recently cast as Rosario Dawson's mother, expect to see a lot more of Claire Temple this season than you did in "Jessica Jones."
Is he punching a car to death here? Because it sure looks like it.
That's also Frank Whaley playing Detective Rafael Scarfe, AKA Misty Knight's partner in the comics.
And finally, the piece de resistance:
I'll admit, it's a tiny bit of a bummer seeing Misty without her trademark kickass robot arm -- but you also can't see her other hand in this shot, so who knows. Maybe she has a prosthetic just out of frame?
So what do you think? Are you excited to see where this series heads in 2016?
