The 90-minute conclusion to Hasbro Studios' "Transformers Prime" is headed to DVD and Blu-ray in October, and we've go a look at the trailer.
From the official synopsis:
A resurrected UNICRON has taken over the now-lifeless body of MEGATRON to seek vengeance on the AUTOBOTS and ultimately, the destruction of Cybertron. This formidable enemy forces an unlikely alliance between the AUTOBOTS, DECEPTICONS, PREDAKING and two new PREDACONS, who come together in an epic battle to help protect their newly restored planet.
The October 8th release, going for a suggested retail price of $24.97 on Blu and $16.97 on DVD will include the featurette "A Look Behind The Scenes of Predacons Rising."
Back in the Spring, we spoke with series producer Jeff Kline about the iteration of the long-running Autobot/Decepticon conflict:
The end of "Transformers Prime" won't be the end of Ratchet (or Bumblebee, or Optimus, or any of the other characters); while "Prime" is coming to a close, Kline teased that we will definitely see them all again in some form, adding that "the Transformers will be continuing in many variations and generations for many years to come."
