Well, okay, this is a lie. Life doesn't just stop because the latest "Grand Theft Auto" came out... but it's come pretty darn close to that. Anyway, here's your Daily Geek, the Day After GTA V edition.

To start with, someone has already finished GTA V in like, two days. Apparently that's possible, if you skip other, less necessary things, like sleeping, eating and breathing. Maybe also blinking. This is a big deal because the first person to finish the game on public record gets bragging rights for at least a week afterwards. Oh, by the way, that link has spoilers. Don't click on them if you don't want them.

And, in case you were wondering, it cost about $250 million dollars to make and market GTA V. This makes it the most expensive game ever made. It's expected to make about a billion dollars by the end of the year.

Pretty much everything is a big deal about GTA V. Even the soundtrack is a big deal. We shouldn't be surprised at this point.

There's already people muttering about this, and some are clutching their pearls - not everyone is fond of a torture scene that is found about halfway through the game. Might hurt the kids or something. Don't click on that link if you don't want spoilers.

Since the universe likes proving repeatedly that humanity is why we can't have nice things, three teenagers have been arrested in the UK for attacking a man and mugging him to get their hands on his copy of GTA V. Oh, kids today, with their texting and murder.

Also, that petition going around - nope, it's not going to do a thing to get the PC version of GTA to come any sooner. Just sit down, relax, and watch those who are more fortunate than you play it.

Newsflash - you can play GTA V on your Xbox without a disc. It just takes a little bit of finagling and poking. Just thought you ought to know.

Oh, in case you missed it, you can watch the recording of the  MTV Multiplayer livestream of the game here.

In non-GTA news, there is an extended version of  the "Thor: The Dark World" trailer out, and this of course means that we get to use photos of Loki again. This is news, because, extended trailer. Loki. You can't argue with that.

Also, we're getting a "Need for Speed" movie. No one is sure why, because we have "Fast and Furious" and that's pretty much the same thing. In any case, it's happening. Soon. And you should look at photos of it.

Apparently, Magneto and Wolverine are going to have a lot of fun together in the next "X-Men" movie. We're hoping it's not the kind of fun that ends in a ship war. Ship wars tend to be bloody and violent business.

And here's Batfleck, speaking out about Batfleck to the masses of anti-Batfleck protesters. Or something. It's like Batfleckception. Anyway, as suspected, the guy just really wanted to be Batman, and that's a totally good reason to take the role of Batman - because who wouldn't want to be Batman, really?

That's all for today everyone! Feel free to go back to your regularly scheduled gaming time now!
