Battle Arena Otaku Fight! Fight!: Kenshiro ('Fist of the North Star') vs. Godzilla

Welcome to 2013's Battle Arena Otaku Fight! Fight!, MTV Geek's annual brawl between the biggest and best in characters from anime, manga, and Japanese pop culture characters. Not only will we get a chance to spotlight some of most interesting, most intriguing, or simply odd characters from 2013, but it's also a chance to you to have your voice heard. You know the drill: we'll present the matchup, and you the reader will get to choose which character comes out on top. So which mech, heroine (or hero), monster, or mascot will come out on top this year?

One can kill you with just a touch while the other, well, he'll just level your city block if you he doesn't like the way you're looking at him. In the battle between Kenshiro and Godzilla, which will come out on top?

30 years after his debut, "Fist of the North Star" hero, the reluctant fighter called "Seven Wounds" and the man who would bring peace to the apocalypse Kenshiro remains one of the baddest figures in pop culture. His purpose is simple: break the fools who took the love of his life and maybe, just maybe help some plants grow in an arid, post-apocalyptic wasteland. But it's the seemingly endless legion of mutant, "Road Warrior"-inspired bikers and barbarians who'll try to keep Ken away from his lady love. Ken's violent adventures have been documented in the manga by creator Buronson as well as a pair of animated series and, most recently, a new series-spanning game from "Dynasty Warriors" publisher Tecmo Koei.

But what can a post-apocalyptic defender do against the greatest of the kaiju, Godzilla? After being effectively retired for most of the decade, the monster that Toho made will be returning to the big screen next year in a new feature film which will see Godzilla smash North America (again), presumably this time without an iguana-style reinvention (or rampaging baby Godzillas).

Will several tons of ticked-off radioactive lizard stomp on this nuclear holocaust survivor from the year 19XX? that's for you to decide!
