Mako and Bolin Are The Criminal Element In This 'Legend of Korra' Web Short

Let's take a look back into the past of Korra's Pro Bending teammates Mako and Bolin in this "Legend of Korra" webisode featuring a look at their early lives on the streets of Republic City.

You can watch the first short now (sorry, no embed), which features the streetwise Mako and Bolin in their younger days, making a living in Republic City. That living just happened to involve running scams on little old ladies, but hey, they turned out okay in the end, right?

From Nickelodeon:

Mako and Bolin enter the crime-ridden underworld of Republic City where you either hustle, or get hustled.

"Republic City Hustle" is the first of three character-focused shorts Nickelodeon plans to release in advance of the September premiere of "The Legend of Korra: Book 2 - Spirits." The new season will introduce the concept of"spirit bending" which allows the wielder to control and manipulate the spirits of the dead with restless souls forming the backdrop of Korra's training this season.

And while you wait for the second season to debut, starting August 30, Nickelodeon will begin streaming episodes from season one for free, in case you missed our heroine's introduction into the big city, being the Avatar, and battling the emerging anti-bending movement (which certainly won't be any kind of problem in season two, right?).
