‘Simpsons’ LEGO Sets Are Coming Next Year

How do you know when your 22-year old, multi-Emmy winning, critically acclaimed and beloved TV show has finally made it? No, they already have a couple of video games.

It’s when the LEGO people come calling, as they’ve done for “The Simpsons,” offering the long-running show special play sets which will make their debut in 2014.

In a story with the AP, the Danish company confirmed that would be making sets based on the Fox series but wouldn’t confirm which Springfield residents would make the jump to LEGO immortality. LEGO spokesman Roar Rude Trangbaek did say the sets would “appeal to fans of ’The Simpsons’ family.”

LEGO has previously released toy sets based on “Star Wars,” and DC Comics properties, and will make their Marvel debut with “LEGO Marvel Super Heroes” later this year.
