Mezco To Bring Batmobile And 1966 Batman Toys To Times Square


Pow! Zonk! Sock! Mezco! Believe it or not, old chums, because the Batmobile is heading to Ripley’s in the real Gotham City this June to deliver justice sweet, sweet Batman '66 toys.

Announced in a press release today, Mezco Toyz will premiere its Mez-Itz line based on the 1966-68 “Batman” TV series in super fashion by driving a replica of the Batmobile to Ripley’s Believe It or Not Odditorium in New York City’s Times Square on June 25 at 11 a.m. Once it arrives, the Mez-Itz Batman, Robin and Batmobile will be on public display for the first time. The Batmobile will also remain parked for fans to check it out until 1 p.m.

As if this news isn’t enough to make you shout “Holy Fanboy Publicity Stunt!” the first 200 people to check out the display dressed as a classic "Batman" TV series character will receive a free Mezco DC Universe Mez-Itz and 10$ off discount for entry into the Odditorium. So if you want one, gather your butler, sidekick, ward and arch nemesis together to check out the event because, while some days you just can’t get rid of a bomb, it’s a good guess that it will be easy to get rid of these free figures.

The Mezco Classic TV Series Mez-Itz line will include The Penguin, Catwoman, The Joker, The Riddler and Riddler’s Thug, and begin hitting stores July 2013. But until then: To the Odditorium!
