"Dawn of the Planet of the Apes" director Matt Reeves seems to be following in the footsteps of massive tweeters Bryan Singer and Marc Webb and using Twitter to release new images, footage, and teasing bits of awesome from the set of his highly-anticipated (by me especially!) "Apes" sequel. Check it out below!
Reeves tweeted the following image, along with the phrase "A New Dawn..." and it reveals just how far along Caeser and his band of Apes will be when we next meet them in the 2014 flick. Yes, what you see there are mocap suit-wearing actors (including Ceaser himself, Andy Serkis) on horseback, just as they were in the original, brilliant series. Yesterday, Universal revealed the official logo for the film (above!) and our friends at MTV Movies Blog told us more about the plot of movie, saying:
The film takes place 15 years after "Rise of the Planet of the Apes." Caesar leads a band of genetically evolved apes, but the humans that survived the deadly virus a decade earlier threaten their existence. A truce is formed, but things quickly spin out of control as war breaks out in the fight for dominance.
"A new Dawn" is coming indeed, my fellow Ape-heads!
