New 'Iron Man 3' Toys Feature War Machine And Mandarin (Accent Not Included)

By Zack Smith

We are but a mere day from the release of "Iron Man 3" with Robert Downey Jr. and the cool stuff announcements JUST.  KEEP.  COMING.

First up, Kotobukiya has posted pictures of new ARTFX Iron Man and War Machine statues on their Facebook page.  There's not much information on them other than the pictures, though they suggest these statues alone contain more firepower than most nations' armies.

There's a certain Butch and Sundance vibe to these dudes, huh?  Though Butch and Sundance would have likely eschewed high-tech suits of armor as making bank-robbing too easy.

Not to be outdone, Sideshow Collectibles' Hot Toys has teased a look at their sixth-scale figure of the Mandarin, the many-ringed antagonist incomprehensibly voiced by Academy Award-Winner Ben Kingsley.

You will not see him coming.  Or know what he's saying.

Okay, I haven't seen the film yet, and buzz is really good, so we shouldn't make fun of him, but I still can't figure out what that accent is supposed to be.  It sounds like something from a fried chicken commercial.

And if THAT'S not enough, Hot Toys has also announced a new War Machine Mark II collectible figurine.

Not only does this feature light-up functions and a rotating machine gun, it's also die-cast -- making it an Iron Man figure that can actually be used to kill someone.

Please do not do this.

We'll provide more information on these pieces, including prices and availability, as they're announced.

We're also aware the "Iron Man 3" has opened overseas to great success.  DO NOT SPOIL THIS FOR US OR THERE WILL BE BLOOD.

Excited about these new pieces?  Let us know!
