NBC To Air Pulled Fourth 'Hannibal' Episode And Run It As Webisodes

In the wake of the Boston Marathon bombings, NBC makes trims around the fourth episode of the serial killer series "Hannibal", excising a storyline involving brainwashed children and putting the leftovers on the web.

Some spoilers below.

In an introduction to the video below, showrunner Bryan Fuller attempts to put a positive spin on it, joking that the episode has been "cannibalized." He goes on, explaining that the webisodes will flesh out the relationship between Mads Mikkelsen's Hannibel Lecter and budding killer Abigail Hobbs (Kacey Rohl). Episode three saw the characters connecting in a strange way, and the loss of the fourth episode might have unhinged some of the developments between them.

For the time being, the full version of episode four is only available outside of the United States, but presumably, it will be restored for the home video release. Future installments of the web series will be available on NBC.com.
