The 'Zombieland' Pilot Is Now Live On Amazon

Well, that didn't take long. It was only back in February that the first casting announcements were being made, but the Amazon Original "Zombieland" pilot is available right now for your viewing pleasure (kind of).

I've been attempting to load the pilot in the Amazon player, but it keeps timing out after the introduction. Still, maybe other U.S. viewers (it's region-restricted) will have better luck.

The pilot takes off two weeks after the events of the 2009 film, with our four survivors--Little Rock (Izabela Vidovic), Tallahassee (Kirk Ward), Wichita (Maiara Walsh), and Columbus (Tyler Ross)--continuing to, you know, survive the zombie apocalypse.

"Zombieland" writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick are responsible for the script here with "Tucker and Dale vs. Evil" director Eli Craig helming the half-hour pilot. The Amazon Originals program is a twist on the Netflix formula in that instead of commissioning entire series, the retailer instead has opted to create pilots which viewers can then vote on, determining whether they go to series.

If you have an Amazon Prime account, you can check out the 29-minute pilot here.
