Paul Reubens Will Be The White Rabbit In ABC's 'Once Upon A Time' Spinoff 'Wonderland'

Reubens, whose manic Pee Wee Herman persona has entertained us for years on TV, the stage, and film, is joining "Once Upon A Time In Wonderland," as the perpetually tardy Lewis Carroll creation.

Reubens would be voicing the white rabbit for the series pilot which is set before the events of "Once Upon A Time" in the pre-curse fairy tale kingdoms, according to Deadline. The White Rabbit in the series will be a CG creation who heroine Alice (Sophie Lowe) will encounter in her journeys. Deadline describes Alice as having a good heart damaged by a troubled life, but that she will find love with the roguish Knave of Hearts (Michael Socha).

Regular "Once Upon a Time" director Ralph Hemecker will direct the pilot and if it goes to series, he won't be the only one making the leap over: although Emma Rigby has been cast as the villainous Red Queen for the pilot, Barbara Hershey's version of the character may make an appearance in flashbacks while Sebastian Stan's Mad Hatter will likely be around, too.

With season two of "Once Upon A Time" about to wrap, the pilot presentation is set to begin filming now in Vancouver.
