EVERY 1980s G.I. Joe Figure on One Giant Poster!

By Zack Smith

If "G.I. Joe: Retaliation" and the just-announced third Joe film have your 1980s Joe-nostalgia in overdrive, you’ll want to get this giant poster from 3DJoes.com – which features all the classic action figures in one place.

Yes, this poster features 244 "G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero" figures in chronological order, from the glory days of Cobra Commander and Snake Eyes to the very strange years of Serpentor, Sgt. Slaughter and William “Refrigerator” Perry to those oddballs from the 1987 G.I. Joe movie like Golobulus.  We’re still not sure what the deal with those was, but someone was reading a lot of H.P. Lovecraft.

The poster is 24"x36" and is created using four-color printing.  It can be ordered for $28 after shipping, with proceeds going to help fund the hosting for 3DJoes.com, an online resources that allows fans check out original Joe figures from all angles, and even includes the Larry Hama-written file cards.  The poster is available with the character names and without, in case you want to have some sort of party game where your friends attempt to name every type of Cobra Viper.  A fool’s errand!

And yes, there are plans for a 1990s Joes poster as well, so fans can relive the likes of G.I. Joe: Extreme and Sgt. Savage.  It was a strange time.

Planning to get these posters – and have any favorite obscure G.I. Joes?  I’m all about Raptor, the bird-training Cobra accountant with the glider-cape.  Let us know!

Special thanks to our friends at Crowmag Toys for tipping us off to this.
