David Tennant And Billie Piper Return To 'Doctor Who'

Whovians can officially remove their speculatin' helmets as over the weekend, BBC announced that both David Tennant and Billie Piper will join Matt Smith in a special 50th anniversary episode of "Doctor Who."

Tennant's tenth Doctor and Piper's Rose were/are arguably the most popular Doctor/companion combo in the history of the show (until Matt Smith and Karen Gillen, that is!) so fans will be in for a treat when they see Smith and Tennant share the TARDIS for the first time ever.

Word broke over the Easter Holiday weekend after the official "Doctor Who" magazine was sent to retailers, leaking the big news before BBC could.

No word yet on ninth Doctor Christopher Eccleston, or any previous surviving Doctors' involvement. John Barrowman confirmed via Twitter that his Captain Jack Harkness will not be involved with the special. I'm sure more news will roll out soon.
