Hitchcock and Burton get their days outdoors and “Beetlejuice” and “The Birds” are screened under the stars in New York.
The pair of free screenings is part of Tribeca’s Drive-in Outdoor series as part of the Tribeca Family Festival which lets you and your family wander up to watch a pair of classic movies next month.
“The Birds” will be screening Thursday, April 18 at 8:15 with doors opening at 6:00 on a first come, first served basis for people wanting to see Hitchcock’s avian attack film (I think it’s tonally his second strangest movie behind “Frenzy”). You can catch that screening at Brookfield Place/World Financial Center Plaza, with “Beetlejuice” following the next night at 8:15. Saturday sees “Lil Bub & Friendz” screening and it’s Internet cat thing at which point I’m out of my depth.
You can find more details (including directions to the venue) on the Tribeca Film site.
