Dark Horse's 'Avatar: The Last Airbender - The Search' Comic Asks What Happened To Zuko's Mother

The 80-page OGN, released this week by Dark Horse, asks one of the big lingering questions from the first "Avatar" series written by Gene Luen Yang.

Given the way the final episode of the original series ended, I think some of us expected the mystery of Zuko's mother to be central to the next series (especially given how portentous that final moment was between him and his mad sister, Azula). Instead, that thread has made its way into this Dark Horse comic by writer Yang with the collaboration of "Avatar: The Last Airbender" creators Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko.

Here's the official synopsis:

For years, fans of Avatar: The Last Airbender and The Legend of Korra have burned with one question—what happened to Fire Lord Zuko’s mother? Finding a clue at last, Zuko enlists the aid of Team Avatar—and the most unlikely ally of all—to help uncover the biggest secret of his life.

"Avatar: The Last Airbender - The Search TPB V. 1" is available now from Dark Horse.
