On Sports Illustrated’s ‘Game Of Thrones’ Cover, NFL’s Roger Goodell Reigns Supreme

Sports. “Game of Thrones.” Is there a connection between the two? That’s what Sports Illustrated explores in their latest “GoT”-themed issue, out right now.

It starts with NFL Commissoner Roger Goodell sitting on the Iron Throne like a boss, in an homage to the HBO TV series:

Inside, S.I. has a Westeros-themed map depicting the most powerful people in the sports community — plus an essay on the similarities between concepts of power in the “Game of Thrones” world and that of Sports.

As long as we don’t see any heads on spikes at the end of our favorite football games!
