Toy Fair 2013: The Coolest Horror Toys

The monsters were out in full force at this year’s Toy Fair, especially when it came to Robert Kirkman’s mighty zombies. But the BOOths were stocked with other creatures and creepy crawly ghoulies from a host of movies, TV shows, and pop culture. Here are some of the coolest horror toys, action figures, and statues that I spotted while roaming the floor.

This Forrest J. Ackerman or “Uncle Forry” statue from Dark Horse is beautiful and features one of the great diplomats of horror reading an issue of his “Famous Monsters of Filmland.” This sucker is a must-buy for horror hounds. Especially for those us who dig the old school creatures.

NECA has made a name for itself as the company behind some of the most detailed and exquistely designed action figures based on horror and sci-fi, and the following examples are no exception. Just check out that Xenomorph from this “Alien” playset…

I mean, really…

This Predator trophy room, complete with the Xenomorph skull from “Predator 2” that kicked off the “Alien Vs. Predator” phenom is straight up badass.

From “Promethus,” NECA showed off these post-infection Charlie Holloway and ax-wielding Elizabeth Shaw.

And here’s Chloe Moretz covered in pig’s blood. Which is pretty freakin’ cool.

Diamond Select had a beauty of a Gill-man bust from “Creature of the Black Lagoon.”

Check out this diorama based on the greatest(IMO) “Twilight Zone” episode “Eye of the Beholder” from Bif Bang Pow!

And Funko showed off the sweet little vinyl slashers.

How adorable is this Leatherface?

Plus, Hannibal was hand…

And last but not least, S.H. Monster Arts revealed this KILLER King Kong statue, based on, I believe, designs from Peter Jackson’s remake.
