It’s A Whole New Bat, Man: Dynamite’s ‘Black Bat’ Announced

No, not that guy — the other one! Black Bat started life as a pulp hero from the 1930s, recently got new life in the mini-series “Masks,” and now has his own ongoing series from Dynamite Entertainment in May!

Brian Buccellato (DC’s “The Flash”) and Ronan Cliquet (“Green Hornet”), bring you a new type of vigilante:

“Tony Quinn is a brash defense attorney for the mob, one who compromises his ethics for financial gain. However, when he refuses to cross the line and commit murder, he is tortured and blinded by his gangster employers. But then, a fortuitous meeting with a covert agency gives him a chance to make amends, and Tony dons the dark mantle of the Black Bat in his redemptive quest to right the wrongs of his past.”

“Black Bat” features variant covers by a whole roster of talented artists: J. Scott Campbell, Joe Benitez, Ardian Syaf, Billy Tan, and the acclaimed Marcos Martin (“Amazing Spider-Man,” “Daredevil”):
