See A Single Cyborg In The City In The 'Ghost In The Shell: Arise' Trailer

Twitch caught wind of the first trailer for Production I.G.'s "Ghost in The Shell: Arise," the new four-part prequel series following the early days of cyborg cop Motoko Kusanagi.

Currently only announced for Japan, the first part of "Ghost in the Shell: Arise," titled "Ghost Pain," will be in theaters with a simultaneous Blu-ray/streaming release on June 22. The Blu-ray will get a full release on July 26.

The last "Ghost in the Shell" release was the "Standalone Complex: Solid State Society" OAV back in 2006, so for some fans this is probably a very welcome return to the well that Masamune built.
