A small-town killing draws out the strange in this Netflix original series from the “Cabin Fever” and “Hostel” director.
Famke Janssen (“X-Men,” “Goldeneye”) is joined by Dougray Scott (“Mission: Impossible 2”), Bill Skarsgard, Landon Liboiron, and Freya Tingley in what looks like an overtly supernatural twist on the small-town murder mystery. Roth will serve as producer for the series as well as direct the pilot episode.
From the official synopsis:
A young girl is brutally murdered and found near the former Godfrey steel mill. As rumors mount, two of the suspects in her killing–Peter Rumancek, a 17-year-old Gypsy trailer trash kid rumored to be a werewolf, and Roman, the heir to the Godfrey estate–decide to find the killer themselves.
Roth’s been busy lately, producing the earthquake thriller “Aftershocks” and opening up a horror resort in Vegas. We’re all still waiting on him to knuckle down and make “Thanksgiving,” though.
“Hemlock Grove” makes its debut on Netlifx April 19th.
