We were caught a little off-guard when Apple revealed the fourth-generation iPad so quickly after the third had shown up, but it doesn’t look like they’re slowing down any time soon. Japanese blog Macotakara (which has been right in the past) is reporting that we could see a 5th generation iPad as early as March 2013.
The introduction of a 5th gen. iPad in March would make it the second tablet released by Apple in 5 months, and the rumored device is said to pull styling cues from the recent iPad mini. Much like the new iPhone, the iPad mini sports a slick beveled aluminum edge, and the rumors say the next full-size iPad will feature a similar design. Also, the new iPad will supposedly feature smaller dimensions overall, thanks to a thinner bezel surrounding the touch screen.
No other details were touched upon in the report, but Apple has traditionally introduced new iPads toward the early part of the year. Either way, it’s all speculation as of right now. We won’t know anything for sure until Apple makes an official announcement, but we’ll do our best to keep you up to date on all the rumors until then.
