The third season of “Game of Thrones” is still a few months away, but the official production diary (here) is giving us plenty of looks behind the scenes to prepare us for the events ahead. The latest featurette – “Making Game of Thrones: Art Direction” – introduces us to to art directors Heather Greenlees and Tom Still, who share how working on the same show year after year stays interesting.
Obviously, the video doesn’t shed much light on any story details from the upcoming season (booooo!), but we do get to see some of the locations our favorite characters will be traveling to (and probably dying in).
We also get a few quick looks at some new characters being introduced in season 3, including Jojen Reed. However, what I find most interesting is the fact that the crew is expanding some familiar locations. For instance, the Red Keep, which we’re all-too familiar with at this point, is getting a new courtyard. You can get the details on that and everything else in the video below!
“Game of Thrones” season 3 premieres on HBO March 31st, 2013
