Whether you were forced to do it in school or just decided to give it a shot on a rainy day, almost everyone has tried their hand at origami. While swans and other critters may be a good place to start, we’re way more interested in these awesome Star Wars origami creations.
According to Wired, the man behind these geektacular pieces of folded paper is Martin Hunt. His Star Wars origami obsession began with the X-Wing fighter you see above, but quickly grew to include several other Star Wars droids and ships. Hunt now has over 20 designs on his website, not including the long list he has planned for the future.
If the photos have you aching to do some Star Wars themed folding of your own, you’ll be happy to know that, on top of his website, Hunt has also been sharing his designs on YouTube via instructional videos. In the video below he gives a step-by-step look at how to create the Naboo Starfighter.
Moving forward, Hunt is looking to get his own Star Wars origami book published. He’s aiming to create more advanced designs for publication, but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t give it try yourself!
