Watch George Lucas Discuss The Disney Sale: 'At Some Point I Needed To Retire'

You've heard the news about Disney buying Lucasfilm, and the new slate of "Star Wars" movies -- now hear it from the people who made it happen! This video features Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of The Walt Disney Company Bob Iger and George Lucas, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Lucasfilm, talk about the merger and what we can expect.

And what exactly did Disney get for 4 Billion? According to Iger, not just all of Lucasfilm's operating businesses including Industrial Light and Magic and Skywalker Sound, but a universe filled with "more than 17,000, inhabiting several thousand planets, and spanning 20,000 years." That's a LOT of intellectual property.

And what does George get out of it, outside of four big-big-big-big ones?

"As I've gone through my career, I realized at some point I needed to retire, and I wanted to go on and do other things -- things in philanthropy and more experimental kinds of film. But I really couldn't drag my company into that."
