NYCC 2012: Square Enix Surprises Fans With New Street Fighter, Batman, And Halo 4 Play Arts Kai Prototype

New York Comic Con 2012 is admittedly sparse so far when it comes to big time toy reveals, but sometimes it's the little things that sneak up on you that mean the most. Case in point: Square Enix. While all of their latest figures were on display, within each glass case stood a few all new protoypes from three of their most successful Play Arts Kai lines, and a new one! New Street Fighter and Halo 4 figures stood in all of their solid-gray newness, while Square Enix' latest license for the Nolanverse Batman films was represented by four new figures, including a very promising Heath Ledger Joker! Read on for all the photos of where your money will be disappearing to in the future!

Batman Dark Knight Skin

A genius way to get around having to officially license the classic comic mini-series, Square Enix is basing this Frank Miller-esque Batman on the downloadable skin offered in Batman: Arkham City.

Batman: The Dark Knight & The Dark Knight Rises

This was the most surprising reveal to me. The Heath Ledger Joker looks incredible, even in the all gray color scheme of the prototype. He'll come with a knife, pistol, and two extra heads!

Street Fighter

None of the figures shown here had official release dates, but my guess is that they will be brought out throughout 2013, and possibly even the beginning of 2014. That should give you plenty of time to start putting away those pennies! For more on Square Enix' upcoming figures and video games, be sure to check out their website!
